Vos missions en quelques mots
Centrale Lille is seeking a Project Manager to support the SWEATPATCH (EIC-Pathfinder) and CanDoIt (MSCA-DN) projects respectively coordinated by Prof. Pernod and Prof. Talbi.
SWEATPATCH EIC pathfinder open: Remote SWEAT Skin PATCH for Monitoring Breast Cancer Therapeutic Response
SWEATPATCH is a Horizon-EIC-2023 European pathfinder open project (No 1201130618), which involves 11 renowned European research Institutions and industrial partners from 5 countries (including two companies, and one partner from UK). Its total budget (including UK budget) is 3.19 M€. SWEATPATCH aims at developing and clinically test, a disruptive wearable and remotely queryable passive patch that will enable eal-time monitoring of the therapeutic response in breast cancer patients through the analysis of selected relevant VOCs biomarkers originating from the evaporation of sweat on skin.
CanDoIt – MSCA doctoral network on Intelligent Breast Cancer Diagnosis and Monitoring Therapeutic Response
The CanDoIt is a Horizon Europe Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Doctoral Network. It integrates 18 teams, academic and non-academic participants from 5 European countries, with unique and outstanding expertise. CanDoIt aims to train 12 doctoral candidates for the development of multimodal biosensors for Breast Cancer diagnosis and therapeutic response monitoring. This project has received funding for 10 Doctoral candidates (DC) from the European Union’s Horizon Europe research and innovation programme under the MSCA grant agreement No 101120186 and funding of 2 DCs from the UK Research and Innovation (total budget about 2.7 M€).
Missions of the project manager
Placed alongside the two scientific coordinators, the project manager will assist them in the coordination of both projects. He/she will be responsible for the animation of the two consortiums and for facilitating the general functioning of the consortiums in accordance with the terms of the grants and the consortium agreements. These functions will cover a range of tasks related to organizational, administrative, financial, legal, training and ethical management of projects as well as communication. This includes providing support in the coordination of management deliverables, organization and administration of training activities, reporting obligations, financial monitoring, setting quality procedures.
The project manager will work in conjunction with the relevant Centrale Lille Institute and IEMN services the consortia partners of the two scientific projects and Europe.
A competitive salary is offered through the two European Projects funds.
In detail, this position will cover the following tasks:
Project Coordination and Communication
- Supervising the implementation and coordinating of all management aspects of the Sweatpatch and CanDoIt projects, such as preparation and execution of meetings, agendas and minutes, recruitment processes, monitoring of their respective work plans, and assisting the

Requirements
- You hold a Master’s Degree or PhD’s Degree (highly valued) as well as a project management experience in European projects; Knowledge in Engineering or Biomedical science or Related Fields would be appreciated;
- Experience about finance management, IPR concerns and ethics issues is valued; Knowledge of Horizon environment will be appreciated;
- You have a high level of proficiency in spoken and written English, as this will be the working language for both projects;
- You are a highly-organized person, collaborative and communicative with analytical skills and ability to meet strict deadlines; you must be able to summarize meeting reports and to sort tasks by level of importance in order to ensure the delivery of reports in due course;
- You are enthusiastic, dynamic, proactive and flexible and have capacities in problem-solving, prioritization, and autonomous time and workflow management; you have capacity for teamwork;
Knowledge
- Knowledge of EU regulations (legal, administrative and financial rules of Horizon Europe and in particular rules applicable to Pathfinder MSCA projects) and European policies related to research and innovation
- Knowledge of the European institutional environment and the national and European research landscape
- Operating methods of public administrations project management methodology
- Analysis of accounting and financial data experience in European project management
- General knowledge of open science (open data and publications etc.)
- Knowledge of Intellectual Property and Research Ethics
Operational skills
- Managing a project

- Ensuring the follow-up of expenses and revenues
- Following budgets
- Mastering communication tools (project website, press releases, etc.), office tools (MS Office, LibreOffice) and collaborative tools
